Qigong Foundations: Breath, Posture & Intention.
In this work, we begin with foundations—steady breath, aligned posture, and clear intention. These open the channels, calm the mind, and invite the body to reorganize itself around balance.
Breath
Breath marks our first separation from the womb. From that moment, we begin using the Jing and essence we inherited from our parents. Breath fans the fire of the Gate of Life (Ming Men), supporting digestion, immunity, metabolism, and the movement of qi and blood.
Posture
Posture is how the body speaks to the organs. Standing, walking, sitting, and lying down each influence different systems—Kidneys, Liver, Spleen, Lungs. When posture is aligned, qi can circulate and the organs can do their work.
Intention
Intention is the mind leading the qi. Where intention goes, qi follows; where qi flows, blood follows. A clear, calm mind allows qigong practice to gather, direct, and refine the energy we cultivate.

How Qigong Sessions Help
Qigong sessions may include moving meditation, breathwork, standing practice, and simple sequences you can use at home. The aim is to regulate qi, build resilience, and invite ease into body and mind.
The Mind Leads the Body
The mind is the leader of the qi. Change the mind, and the qi reorganizes. Reorganize the qi, and the body transforms. When we meet the present moment honestly, the body no longer needs to hold tension around resistance.
In Classical Chinese practice, qigong is the mother of Taiji and was originally known as Dao Yin—guiding exercises that open the channels, clear the orifices, and gather, transform, and use qi for health, balance, and self-awareness. At its heart are three components: breath, posture, and intention.
As qigong practice deepens, intention becomes clearer and more stable. Qi follows the mind; where intention goes, qi follows, and where qi flows, blood follows. Over time, the body naturally directs energy to where it is needed most, and a different relationship with illness, change, and possibility becomes available.

All Illness Is Energetic
In Classical Chinese Medicine, illness begins in the field of qi long before it appears in the body. Pain, fatigue, and diagnosis are often the last chapter of a story that started as subtle imbalance in energy, emotion, and spirit.
Qigong offers a way to meet illness at that earlier level. Through breath, posture, and intention we gather and guide qi so the body can reorganize itself around balance instead of strain.
Our mind plays an essential role. Where intention goes, qi follows; where qi flows, blood follows. When we enter and exit practice in a state of gratitude and grace, the channels open and healing energy can move where it is needed.
Over time, this work nourishes the Three Treasures—Jing, Qi, and Shen. We protect our essence, refine our life-force, and brighten spirit. Even if symptoms remain, many people find more ease, clarity, and connection with the life they are living.
